What are Community Support Groups?
Parenting Special Children has three Community Support Groups for families of children & young people with additional needs. The groups provide a safe space to establish support, connect with others in similar circumstances, learn new skills & to feel less isolated.
There are two specialist parenting practitioners at each of our groups to support, speak with 1:1, ask questions & to facilitate learning opportunities. There will be a monthly topic relevant to parenting a child with additional needs, this will be for an hour & the remainder of the session will be to connect with others and social support time.
