Transition to Adulthood Workshop

Overview

Hazel Wright from Graft Thames Valley will be joining us. Graft Thames Valley provides a range of very accessible training designed to improve the employability of clients, to ensure everyone achieves their full potential.

Transition to Adulthood workshops are delivered by Parenting Special Children and Parent Forum leads from Reading, West Berkshire and Wokingham.

The workshops are funded by the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (BOB ICB) and are provided as part of the Berkshire West Autism and ADHD Support Service in partnership with Autism Berkshire.

Aims:

  • To provide local knowledge of the transition process
  • To enable parents/carers to better navigate the transition process
  • To enable parents/carers to support their young person with knowledge, skills and confidence

Opportunities:

  • To meet other parents/carers navigating the transition to adulthood process
  • To connect with local parent forum leads
