Overview
Two linked workshops for Professionals.
Children who have experienced neglect, abuse or other adverse circumstances in early childhood may struggle to develop secure attachments with adults and peers, feel safe and settled at school, build trusting relationships and engage in learning.
They may communicate their experiences through behaviours that staff can find challenging, including physical and emotional dysregulation, masking, dissociation and emotion-based demand avoidance.
Delivered over two sessions, this training explores the impact of developmental trauma and insecure attachments on children’s emotional wellbeing, relationships and capacity to learn. It provides practical, trauma-informed strategies to help children feel safe, regulate emotions, reduce distress and increase engagement in school and learning.
Attendees for our Professional training events do not need to register for an account on our website. Please ignore the pink ‘Register Now’ button (if it displays in the blue panel to the right).
Payment by ‘invoice request’ is only available where organisations have agreed to pay for the professional’s training.
