ADHD Course: Buckinghamshire

Overview

Four linked sessions delivered online via Zoom by specialist parenting practitioners.

The course is a collaboration between Parenting Special Children and Brighter Futures Together, a Marlow-based not-for-profit organisation that runs a range of different projects for young people and parents/carers across Buckinghamshire.

Sessions 1-3: lead by PSC specialist parenting practitioner Denise Challis with Helpline Manager Charlie Taylor.

Session 4: Support Available: Ruth Pearse (Parenting Special Children) and Janette Fullwood (Brighter Futures Together) will advise on available ongoing support.

Denise Challis

Parenting Practitioner

Denise has many years experience of working within schools with children and families, many of whom have lived experience of neurodiversity and/or special needs and disabilities. She is also an accredited mindfulness and compassion teacher (CPCAB).

Charlie Taylor

Helpline Manager

Charlie provides information and support to parents/carers and professionals through our Helpline. She coordinates and facilitates our monthly face-to-face community support groups for parents/carers of children with special needs. She works with our Children and Young People groups, and supports practitioners on Autism and ADHD workshops. Charlie has personal and professional experience of neurodiversity.

Ruth Pearse

Parenting Practitioner

Ruth is deeply passionate about supporting parents and carers at all stages of their children’s lives, recognizing the critical importance of providing holistic support throughout their journey.
Ruth is a parent of neurodivergent adults, which gives her understanding of the challenges and rewards that come with raising children with unique needs. This personal experience fuels her dedication to her work and her empathy for the families she serves.

The Zoom link, meeting ID and passcode are in your booking confirmation email. Please check your junk folder, add the event to your calendar, and keep the email safe for use on the days of the event.

Zoom will ask you to sign in, and to register for the event, so please allow a few minutes for this before the event starts. You use the same Zoom information for all of the sessions.

We will use the Chat function to allow you to ask questions during the sessions. The events are best viewed on a PC or laptop. Please have the latest version of Zoom installed. You can download the software here: https://zoom.us/download

Please note that you may not record the sessions or take screenshots. This is to maintain confidentiality and privacy for attendees.

Many of our events have waiting lists. If you are no longer able to attend please let us know so we can offer your place to someone else. We require 7 days notification of cancellation to offer a refund.
