Time Out for Special Needs plus Sleep Workshop – West Berks Council Area

Overview

This course was commissioned and funded by Adult and Community Learning, West Berkshire Council and will be lead by specialist parenting practitioner Helen Cattermole. After booking a ticket you MUST complete a West Berkshire Council Community Learning enrolment form. You can do so here: https://www.westberks.gov.uk/communitylearningenrolment

Our facilitators are parents of children or young people with special educational needs and have a background in health or education.

12pm – 2pm (you are welcome to bring a packed lunch)

There is no session during half term.

An additional parent/carer from the same family may attend at no cost with the expectation that they will share course materials.

Helen Cattermole

Parenting & Sleep Practitioner

Helen is a registered nurse in learning disabilities (RNLD) and worked as a challenging behaviour specialist nurse within the Berkshire Foundation Healthcare Trust, supporting adults with learning disabilities, as well as their families and carers. Now, Helen works for Parenting Special Children, where she delivers training on various topics, including sleep management, the "Who's In Charge?" program, Autism, "Time Out for Special Needs," and provides one-on-one clinics.

Please book a ticket for each person attending. On booking you will receive a confirmation email.

After booking a ticket you MUST complete a West Berkshire Council Community Learning enrolment form. You can do so here: https://www.westberks.gov.uk/communitylearningenrolment

Parking restrictions: a ‘School Street Zone‘ applies in Royal Avenue, Curtis Road, and Gatcomb Close from 2:30 – 3:30 pm, and no parking is allowed on the school site itself during these hours.

Many of our events have waiting lists. If you are no longer able to attend please let us know so we can offer your place to someone else.
