Overview
A monthly group for adopted children (age 5 -16), building social skills through different forms of art.
We have play therapist Stephanie Ollis, music therapist Julia Mantell, and Amy Trigwell Jones from The Corn Exchange joining us.
The children will be split into age groups (age 5-11 and age 12-16).
This month we have a fun and creative introductory drama and storytelling workshop for the 12-16 age group, led by Amy Trigwell Jones from the Corn Exchange, Newbury. The session will explore imagination and offer a relaxed opportunity to connect with other adopted teens though drama based activities and story-telling. No previous drama experience is needed, just a willingness to join in and have fun!
Parents are required to stay for the duration of the session in the room next door where we will hold our Adopter’s Support Group. You can attend the Adopter’s Support Group without a child attending Let’s Get Creative.
Please make sure you book a ticket for the child(ren) attending, and the parent/carer(s).
We are very grateful to Children in Need, The National Lottery Community Fund, and Adoption England for supporting this project.

Attending details
Parents are required to stay for the duration of the session in the room next door where we will hold our Adopter’s Support Group. Even if you choose not to join in with the group you must book a support group ticket. This is so we know who is onsite, for fire and safety compliance, and so we can inform all should a subsequent health issue be notified to us.
You can attend the Adopter’s Support Group without a child attending Let’s Get Creative.
Please let us know if you book places and then cannot attend so we can allocate your places to waiting families.
